You know, I certainly don’t find too much hardcore that I can sink my teeth into anymore but there is something different about Hostage Calm. Combining so many awesome elements from the many different time periods and sub-genres of hardcore, Hostage Calm really are forging their own path. Hostage Calm’s impressive four-song demo can be downloaded here. You can also purchase the demo 7″ soon from Headcount Records and the band’s debut album is scheduled for May on Redscroll Records.

I’ll be checking these guys out at Significant Fest in Clearwater in July. I’m interested to see how their sound translates into a live set.
